Bunbury
Bunbury is a vibrant coastal city located in the southwestern part of
Western Australia, approximately 175 kilometres south of Perth. Known for its
stunning waterfront, rich maritime history, and thriving port, Bunbury has long
been a key regional hub for commerce, industry, and tourism. The city enjoys a
blend of urban amenities and natural beauty, with beautiful beaches, parks, and
a picturesque waterfront area, making it a popular destination for both locals
and visitors.
Greater Bunbury spans across four local government areas: the shires of
Capel, Dardanup, Harvey, and Bunbury. The region extends from Yarloop in the
north, Boyanup to the south, and Capel to the southwest, offering a diverse
range of environments from urban spaces to rural and agricultural land.
In terms of public transportation, the Bunbury Regional Town Bus
Service
, operating under the brand name TransBunbury,
is a key feature of the local infrastructure. The service includes twelve town
bus routes that run seven days a week, providing vital connectivity throughout
the city and its suburbs. Additionally, there are twenty-five dedicated school
routes, ensuring students have reliable transport options during school days.
The public transport network covers a wide area, from Australind in the north to
Gelorup in the south, helping to connect residents to essential services,
